clinical pilates & movement rehabiliation
NEUROPILATES
REHABILITATION PILATES
ONE TO ONE SESSIONS
SMALL GROUP PILATES
Clinical Pilates & Movement Rehabilion is a brilliant way to target and improve the body and mind. It will be taught by a trained APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) certified instructor who will complete and inital assessment to look at important issues that you have, including pain and falls. A completely individualised programme will then be created to work through together, with graded exercises that are tailored to your ability and findings from the assessment.
Here are the main things Clinical Pilates & Movement Rehabilion can help with:
Stability - Pilates targets the deep core muscles that support your spine and pelvis (hips), so movements your become steadier and more efficient. With this improved stability it reduces the strain on joints and helps prevent injuries.
Balance - Better balance lowers the risk of falls and makes everyday tasks—like walking, climbing stairs or carrying shopping —feel easier and safer.
Coordination - Pilates emphasises controlled, precise movement patterns and breath that is linked with motion. That transfers directly to daily activities and sports, helping you move with more fluidity and less effort.
Flexibility - Flexibility with pilates increases through controlled stretching and elongation of muscles, which can reduce stiffness, expand your range of motion, and relieve tension-related pain.
Aches and Pains - Pilates also helps manage and reduce pain, by correcting postural imbalances and improving muscle endurance. Because exercises focus on quality over quantity, they are gentle and adaptable for everyone.
Body Awareness - It can be difficult to isolate specific movements of the body and make certain muscles do what you want! Pilates can increase body awareness, sense of self and build an internal body map to increase the body-mind connection.
Relaxation - The focus on mindful movement and breathing promotes relaxation, a sense of well-being and time for yourself.
Mood - Beyond the many physical benefits, Pilates is fun and can boost your mood!
Everyone can enjoy the experience and benefits of Pilates which transfer over into our lives. It helps you feel stronger, move more freely and enjoy everyday life with greater ease.
