A little bit about me

Who I Am

My name is Kate McCann and I am a HCPC registered and Charted Specialist Physiotherapist. I have over 15 years of clinical experience as a physiotherapist working with clients across community, acute, and outpatient settings and I have worked in both the private and public health sectors.

Over the past 10 years, I have developed my specialist skills in neurorehabilitation, focusing on brain injuries, stroke, and long-term neurological conditions.

I also really enjoy integrating pilates into my practice, alongside therapeutic handling, specialised exercise programmes and developing technologies.

Here are a few of my memberships and qualifications:

  • Health and Care Professional Council

  • ACPIN member

  • Member of the Chartered Society for Physiotherapy

  • Neurofit-trained therapist

  • Adaptive and Inclusive Trainer (ATA)

  • APPI matwork levels 1, 2 and 3

My approach

I love getting to know my clients - working with them to achieve their meaningful goals in an innovative and adaptive approach. Working alongside family, carers and/ or other healthcare professionals is also very important to my practice.

I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to get stronger and move with more confidence. I strive to make the journey creative, meaningful and fun!
